    Hi everyone,

I've been looking around the forums but can't seem to find a thread for potential Birmingham applicants for 2017 so I decided to start this one so that we could share stats and discuss the course etc.

Obviously Birmingham are GCSE heavy (70% of application) but they also take into account UKCAT score (30% of application). Your top 7 GCSEs are scored, including Maths, English Language and Literature, Bio and Chem and then your next top 2 results. These are scaled to give a score out of 7 and the UKCAT is scaled to give a score out of 3. The maximum score is 10 and I believe last year the threshold for interview for 6.67.

The typical offer is A*A*A, which has to include Biology and Chemistry. I believe the course is intergrated however I haven't been able to make an open day so anything anyone can add about the city or the atmosphere would be fantastic.

    My stats are:
    GCSEs 9A* 1A (German)
AS AAAA (Bio Chem Maths Physics)
A Level Pred A*A*A (Bio Chem Maths)
    UKCAT 717 avg 2150 total

Any other potential applicants out there?
