Does Canada recognise a diploma?

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I am currently studying Level 3 Animal Management and I would love to go to university in Canada to study either Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary BioScience. I am aware with my qualification this may be tricky but I just wanted to know if anyone knew if a university in Canada would accept that or can I only get in with A Levels? I have contacted some universities but they said they cannot tell me if I'm eligible unless I fill out a application and pay the fees but I don't want to pay the money if they don't accept the qualification, can anyone help? Thank you
