My mother wants me to go back to Madeira Is. to manage our hotel

My father has died two years ago, and my mother has gotten really sick. We own a hotel and a casino on the damn Madeira Islands (west coast of Africa, belongs to Portugal). Since the economy crashed, it's been doing really bad (but it's earned us A LOT of money before that). I wanna sell it (even though she told me she couldn't get even near the right price for it) while she still sees potential in it and wants to keep it. I'm on my third year, studying law, I feel like I can't go back home now. What should I do?
It seems nonsensical to leave uni in your final year. I say explore the selling idea more or hire people to run until you're able to move back?

The resort is bad enough as it is, we don't need people who we can't trust to run it. I can name at least 10 ways to steal cash from the resort, and since my mother can't control them I'm afraid this would be worse then selling it.

Then you need to stress to your mum that selling it is the only way out.
You could ask for time off uni to go sort out personal issues, which i think is a bad idea, or take a year out, which is also a bad idea. Im sorry I have no good ideas for this situation.
If it was me, I'd go back in one of the breaks, christmas or easter and try get it sorted asap.

Hope it works out.
