Hi there. I was asked to provide residency evidence amongst other pieces of evidence for the past 5 years (which I did). I called student finance a few days ago and they said they had all my evidence and just needed to process it which can take time. My loan was therefore on hold. It has been 12 days so I decided to give them a call only to find out that there there was some MISSING residency evidence that i was not made aware of. The evidence I had sent included letters from school, college and bank statements but it was apparently NOT VALID.
I am now sending child tax credit letters (for various years) as well as a signed headed letter from my high school that states that i was in the UK living at the same address through out high school. My question is that is sending this enough? I can't seem to find another letter for september 2011 and i'm really stressed.

    Thank you

    Hi,

We require evidence for the full 5 years so there cannot be anytime that is unaccounted for, as long as what your sending covers the period we require then the residency should be satisfied.

    Thanks

    Thank you Carly!

Also, I finished college in June 2016 so the letter from college doesn't account for July 2016 and August 2016. However, I received a signed and headed letter during July and August from Leeds university which I am attending. Are these appropriate for residency evidence? I don't have a letter covering July and August like I do for periods 1st Sept 2011 - June 2014 (high school) and Sept 2014 - June 2016 (College).

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,

The letter from the university should be acceptable but this is down to an assessors discretion.

    Thanks
