    Hello TSR
I really want to do both of these subjects, with History as a precursor to a career in Law. However, I have been told that Medicine is a bad choice now, as the pay is crap in the NHS. One of my relatives is also a doctor, and he doesn't think that I should go into medecine, although I have ok grades, and I think I could go into medical school.

That's a no brained really.. if your grades are good enough then you might as well be a doctor

Think you will find medicine has a higher consistent earning potnetial. Law is highly competitive. If you are Oxbride material then maybe.
I also would only do medicine if it was a vocation.

Because they are starting to be hammered by Osborne and the government!

The pay shouldn't be your primary consideration in whether or not to study medicine. No-one really does it just for the money - you'd be better off at EY for that.
