What should I do?

The uni course I applied for had a conditional, I missed it but the ucas track hasn't updated yet and when I call the uni they just give me the clearing line phone number and they tell me they are still considering my application and I have to keep checking on the ucas track. My problem is if I don't get this course I want to get released from my insurance and get a course through clearing(I have a fair idea of which course to apply for) but the longer they take deciding the more filled up the clearing courses are getting so what should I do? When I asked them how long it will roguhly take they just keep saying any day now just keep checking ucas track. I really want to be accepted at this course but I'm not sure if they will accept me. So should I just sit and wait since there's nothing much else I can do? thanks.

Clearing doesn't even start until the 16th, so don't hharrass them too much.

I'm a Scottish student but, clearing has already started I think
I thought it started on the 16th?

clearing started on the 8th for scottish students to scottish unis
