A block of mass 5kg is held at rest on a smooth slope inclined at 30degrees to the horizontal, using a string which makes an angle of 20degrees with the plane. the tension in the string is?

Any help with this would be great, does the angle of the first initial incline included?
cheers

Start by drawing a diagram. You could see that gravitational force along the incline is 5g times sin30 degrees. This is the force which should be applied in the direction along the plane by the string. Hence, T cos 20 = 5g sin 30. Solve this equation to get T.
