Is anyone on or has transferred onto these courses or can just tell me what its like studying at these places, thanks.

the university of Manchester fashion marketing

Plymouth college of art fashion media and marketing

Nottingham Trent university fashion marketing and branding

universality of Sunderland fashion product and promotion

I studied Fashion Media and Marketing in the final year of my Fashion degree at Plymouth College of Art to give me a more comprehensive understanding of branding and producing my own fashion films. The course was really insightful as I was looking at fashion from a different perspective to what I was previously used to.

I learned how to critically study and understand the subtext of cinematography, the psychology of colour choices in fashion films and even had the ability to digitally produce and edit my own GIFs. These attributes were really helpful transferable skills, which I then applied when creating my final major project.

Another element of the course which I loved was styling and the more creative behind-the-scenes of fashion campaigns and photoshoots. It was so rewarding watching my visions come to life and learning how to creatively direct in professional situations.

As well as the above I also had the chance to learn about branding, marketing, digital design for magazines/lookbooks and had talks from visiting industry professionals.

I would highly recommend this course, not only for the extensive and exciting projects I had the opportunity to be involved with, but also to have the chance to study at PCA – a creative and encouraging environment with great accessible facilities. Here I was able to increase my network and learn invaluable skills, as well as have fun and meet great friends.

Hope this helps with your decision-making!

    good luck,
