GCSE subjects

what are the main subjects required in your GCSE
The only subjects required are English Language and Maths.
Many people recommend at least having the E Bacc: English, Maths, 2 sciences, a foreign language and a humanity at the very minimum

Sixth forms and colleges usually require students to have at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C, sometimes including English Language and Maths (although that may have changed due to the new grading system), and universities usually expect applicants to have passes in at least Maths, English and Science. Many students take a combination of languages, humanities (e.g. RE, Geography or History), and/or art subjects in addition to the compulsory Maths, English and Science :smile:
