2 courses at the same university?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently in the process of completing my UCAS application and was wondering if its worth applying to two at the same university?
The courses are politics and politics and international relations.
Does anyone know if this is worth it/would increase my chances of an offer/hinder my application in anyway?
Cheers

It's a waste of a choice to put two choices from the same university.

Where they're very similar and taught by the same department then there's usually flexibility to swap courses well into the first or second year.

Where they're not similar and from different departments it makes admissions staff think you're not sure about what to study and are at higher risk of dropping out.

For Politics and Politics & IR then it's very unlikely the applications would be considered by different people or that you wouldn't be able to easily swap from one to the other at any point.
