I am a girl and met another girl about 2 years ago, we didn't see each for a year and then became really good friends this summer. I have always been a good friend to her and listened to her problems and took her home when she was sick in the nightclub.

Recently she said we should go abroad, I was a bit reluctant as I had been to the same place a year ago and she wanted us to do Couchsurfing by staying in house of a 59 year old man who she had never met to save on hotel fees. I found this man on a Russian bride website and felt extremely uncomfortable at the idea of staying with him.

I became ill as my mom has had a bad cold which I messaged my friend so this delayed me being able to book anything. I text my friend a day a go and she has not replied and I have found she has blocked me on social media. She told me before she blocks people and cuts them out of her life if things don't go her way.

Why should I risk my life and stay at a strangers house? Plus I did not know when I would get better and there is nothing worse than being ill abroad. I don't chase people and was a good friend to her and she has just cut me off in an instant.

Welcome to the world of social media!
