Is it a good idea to study English if it isn't my first language?

Hey guys I'm new here and first of all, i'm not sure if im posting in the right place.

I need advice. Long story short, I originally wanted to do A level biology, psychology and photography. Unfortunately I didn't get the grades for biology or psychology. In the end I got put into btec science as they had good convicing skills. They knew I liked biology and now i'm stuck in btec science. I've tried to ask if i can redo gcses just do do the a levels I want but, im not allowed as i've passed everything.

Since I keep asking, theyve told me the other A levels i have passed for which i can take (but i'll have to catch up on). These are A level Religious Studies, Photography and English.

The first points I have to make is i think all of these subjects are interesting, and I love photography. I got an A in religious studies and I think its enjoyable. However I only got a C in photography and thats because I didn't know how MESI worked and my writing sucked, even though ive been told im one of the best photographers in class and I have a good eye.

My question is, is it worth doing English and essay based subjects like Religious Studies and Photography ( I know we only write like one long essay in photography but we still have to write alot) even though English isn't my first language and I pretty much got a B.

Is it worth taking English just for the sake of improving? I got 1 mark off a B in GCSEs. English isn't my first language as ive mentioned before. I've been learning it for 8 years though but I still struggle with expanding my thoughts but maybe thats not a problem with my language itself? Do you think i'll get anything from this? Thank you!❤️

Sorry you've not had any responses about this. Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
