Is it worth doing past papers from the old spec for edexcel maths?

Hi I want to know if it is still worth doing past papers for edexcel maths as I am sitting the exam in 2017 and it is the new specification (9-1).

Definitely. It's always useful doing any past papers, even if they're for the old spec. Not much has changed anyway apart from the fact that it's going to be harder with more topics + more questions requiring you to use different topic areas.

The general consensus is that the new spec is harder than the old one, so it's a good idea to search past papers for topics you struggle with, as it'll give you a less punishing environment to test your knowledge.
