How far should the entry requirement of my chosen unis be from my predicted grades?

If my predicted grades were AAB, is it risky to apply for a course requiring AAA? Or is this what you normally do? I have chosen some ABB and AAB courses as well.
It is a risk, but it isn't uncommon for people to apply to one 'reach' university, places they know they probably won't get into but they want to try for anyway. If you like the university, apply and see what happens.
Yes it's a risk, but it's still totally acceptable. Many applicants will apply to 1 aspirational course which asks for 1 grade higher than they're predicted.
