    What does it mean when it says the reaction centre loses electrons? Are these the electrons lost from the chemiosmosis?

    The reaction centre of the photosystem loses 2 electrons as they are excited to enter a higher energy level in the light dependent stage photosynthesis. The electrons lost from the photosystem will then be replaced by electrons from the photolysis of water.
