# Unsure of how the book gets its answers (Estimation)

Announcements Posted on
Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016
1. Howdy .

I don't understand how the answers are the way they are.

I thought when estimating that 3.2^2 would be 3^2 as you go to one significant figure?

Is it different for these type of questions as I can't find anything that explains it?

Thanks
