If you think you got a low mark, it could have just been your school, or the grade boundaries may have been particularly high you can always ask your teachers what they think and ask about a remark

There have been instances of people petitioning en masse against a grade boundary etc, it doesn't work. If you thought your mark was particularly low then it would have been best to tell your teacher as soon as you got it, rather than thinking about it 2 months later even if your mark was a bit lower than expected, as long as you passed then it won't make a difference in the long run

You only mention something on TSR AFTER you mention it to the teacher, head, examining officer, exam board and lawyers.

I'm guessing all of those previous sources said there was nothing to be done about it? I can't say I heard a lot of controversy around that particular paper. Are you in year 10 or 11? I'm sure it won't affect anything
A remark was requested. The issue is,not a remark however.
The system is more sophisticated that you appear to realise. The awarding bodies for qualifications approved for UK state schools do not decide grade boundaries in total isolation - there is a fair input from Ofqual to ensure that all the awarding bodies are using a comparable standard and there is a lot of looking at prior attainment and comparable outcomes before grade boundaries are set. They're not going to change the boundaries just because you didn't get the grade you wanted.
No, nothing can be done now, and nothing could've been done after the grade boundaries were released (and likely a significant amout of time before). The only way to change the grade now would be to resit, unfortunately.

CIE Cambridge is an international exam body and as such, falls outside the regulations.

Have you heard the term "standardised assimilation." ??

Unlike the majority of CIE qualifications, 0522 English (First language) is approved for teaching in English state Schools and so Ofqual take a significant interest in the results.

It is indeed approved. However they have a different system, and no external, appeal if there are issues,,unlike the other boards. Ofqual is only interested if their process is not, followed, not, that they have no process, such as an external kmfependent appeal. Fortunately they wil bot be included in any league tables now.
