Got an offer to study Film & TV Production😀

So happy as UoH was my first choice preferred Uni, loved everything on the Open Day, especially Howard Berry

Grades offered are sooo achievable for me, but now unsure whether to just accept and not put an insurance choice. Decisions decisions 🤔

I have accepted an offer on Msc Psychology conversion. I'm 34 so it's been a while since study mode! Can you visit the psychology dept on the general postgrad open evenings?

Hi Min1Marie,

Congratulations on your place!

There will be a subject stand with information on Psychology along with a subject talk at our open evening on 9 November.

You can see the programme here.

There will also be campus tours running throughout the event.

If you have any other questions, just let us know!

Thanks,
Heather
I'm thinking of applying to Hertfordshire to study English but am not sure about the town of Hatfield as it seems quite small. Is there a lively feel to it or is it quite quiet? Any pretty areas?
I am considering applying to Hertfordshire for English Language and Communication combined with English Literature as a joint honours BA. However, all the other courses I'm applying for are just called English Language and English Literature (without the "Communication". As such, the Eng Lang side of my personal statement talks about aspects of English Lang that aren't specifically/directly related to COMMUNICATION- I mention my interests in the history of English and in child language acquisition, for example. Would this affect my application?
My grades are BBC plus a C in General Studies (actual achieved grades, as opposed to predicted).
Thank you.
Thank you for your help Heather, its good to know there is some subject specific info on the open evening.

Marie

Hi SabbyCat,

It's great that you are considering applying to Herts. Our Humanities programme is really flexible meaning you can study English Language & Communication and English Literature alongside other subjects such as Media, Journalism, History, Creative Writing. At the start of each year you have the choice to continue with your chosen subjects or choose to specialise. For example, you could study Joint Honours in your first and second year and then single honours in your third.

Ir should be fine to focus on English Language in your personal statement, and it sounds like you're on the right track.

If you want to take a look around the campus and accommodation on our College Lane campus, check out our Google tour.

Best of luck with your application!

If you have any other questions, just let us know.

Thanks,
Heather
