There isn't really a definitive answer to this. In all likelihood, it would probably be difficult, primarily because you won't be much more experienced than an NQT and NQTs would have the advantage of having up-to-date knowledge and training. On the other hand, there are people who take a career break and have no problems getting back to work simply because they have connections in schools or are in the right place at the right time when a job has come along, so it's not impossible.
Doing occasional supply work might be one way to make connections and avoid falling out of the loop.
