What is the best city in the UK? and why?

A serious answer, probably Inverness or London depending on the mood from the places I visited before... London is a great city and I love watching musicals, beautiful historic city as well with museums and lots of stuff to see, plus my fave football team Chelsea FC is in London so definitely a plus... but it is a bit too crowded and bustling and expensive at times... Inverness is a beautiful city, basically in the Scottish Highlands. Scottish people are also generally pretty friendly as well which is a plus. Sometimes some peace and quiet can be definitely warranted 
So I guess Glasgow or Manchester or Sheffield xD is a nice middle but I didn't visit any of those cities before so
