I don't understand what you mean by it doesn't answer the task set? Why did you only realise this as you were doing the preliminary? If you don't come up with a method related to the task set, then you'd get very few marks or 0 marks for the method part of the ISA.
I doubt that you'd get many marks for the method. I'd recommend attempting to redo it during lunchtimes etc.

the task set is about the image formed, but my investigation is about the focal length and how it is affected as the power of the lens increases.
is there anything that I could do?

I think I'm going to be doing the same ISA as you. That's a tricky one. I mean, the focal length is related to the image. I don't think there's much you can do

Are there only two isa investigations available that we can do?

For triple science, there's three.

No I mean for each science. For example for physics I'm doing P3 P2 and P1, we have so far only done 2 ISAs. Are there anymore ISAs we can do?

Youre only meant to do one ISA for each science out of a choice of 3. Some schools do more though, just as a practice.
