Basically I am planning on applying for an English and Creative Writing degree, and I've seen people saying that extra curricular activities in your personal statement should be kept to only a few sentences.
In my current draft, I have a pretty large paragraph talking about some fairly major poetry competitions that I won, and how I was published in a poetry anthology, as well as why I found these experiences valuable etc.
Obviously half my degree is creative writing, so its not irrelevant, but I was wondering if this would be considered extra curricular stuff, and whether I should cut this out of my PS, or shorten it down by a significant amount?
