Hi. Its like 2 in the morning right now lol and i was wondering that before exams, you prefer do past papers or review your notes & do chapterwise the questions? Posted from TSR Mobile
Really depends on the subject! Maths I focused on past papers but psychology I went through notes and made mind maps, so I think past papers are useful for methodical subjects but notes for content based?
Yh it does depend on the subject I guess, for maths, physics, chemistry, english was past papers. It really does pay to have good revision notes. Some of my friends who got straight A*'s literally spent holidays before mocks making notes for each subject. As for your issue of Maths, the most important thing is to understand concepts from a very deep level. Like dont assume something is true at face value, learn WHY it is true.
Are we talking for the 2 weeks before exams or day before exam? 2 weeks before exam until day before: all the possible past papers Day before exam: read through notes (all skim reading though) Then go over questions I got wrong etc from as many past papers as possible.
When I first revise something I repeat that same topic (if time allows) 3times in the first week of revising it to get it in my long term memory.
