Maths 2008 entry

I'm posting this on behalf of my brother who wants to apply for maths in 2008 after a gap year. He got his A-level results this week and got grades A in maths, B in further maths (very close to an A) and Cs in physics and computing. He also got a merit in AEA maths.

Which universities would he have a chance of getting into with those grades? And it is true that universities will now be able to see your UMS marks rather than just your grades?

Thanks for any help you can give!

I think Warwick requires a merit in AEA maths, so get him to apply there!

Those grades wouldn't meet a Warwick offer

i think top 20 may be out of reach with ABCC. sorry. merit in AEA does make it a special case so try contacting some admissions tutors for advice on whether or not there would be a chance if he applied.
