Kent, UEA, or Hull university for Business Management?

I do not know which to select for my last ucas application place. UEA is the highest ranking, then Kent and Hull is a long way down compared to the other two.

But I'm looking for good standards of teaching, good support by the teachers if a problem comes up or if you need help with getting something explained, good area with lots of sport clubs and plenty to do. I'm not that interested in the nightlife, more interested in sports and stuff to do in free time really. Also that you can study a language there in your spare time would be nice.

I'd say purely out of location, I'd prefer Hull. But it's ranking is way lower than the others. Plus I don't know anything about either tbh. If the others are better at the subject. Then maybe one of the other two. What are your suggestions?and why?

Hi Owain,

Indeed we're proud of our Top 15 ranking in the national league tables, but of course everyone has different reasons for choosing a university, and those are all worthy choices! Certainly you would want to be somewhere you know you're going to be happy. Our students have ranked us Top 3 for Student Satisfaction according to the National Student Survey. Location is important too, but so is cost of living. If you take a look at Unistats you'll find compared to many universities the cost of living here is relatively low, which is another bonus. Think about the cost of campus accommodation and private accommodation in the area too.

It's great that you've a clear idea of what you'd like to do in your spare time. We have over 200 clubs and societies to choose from, so there's not going to be a dull moment, we've plenty to get involved with. Here's just a flavour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZorzwPuwv8. We're also delighted to host a £30m Sportspark on campus which is currently the biggest indoor sports centre in Britain, and regularly hosts international sporting events. We have Olympians who train here!

Finally I can confirm you can study a language here in your spare time. We have evening language programmes, we have daytime language programmes, we also have clubs and societies based around languages - https://www.uea.ac.uk/lcs/learning-a-new-language.

Do get in touch if you'd like to know more about UEA or life in Norwich.
