How much contact time is normal for social science type courses @ uni?
Hello, I was just interested what the normal amount of contact time is at uni for social science type courses. I was shocked when I saw that Birmingham have only 1 lecture and 1 seminar per week....

Hi, I'm a third year politics student at Birmingham, and the contact time is 1x1 hour lecture and 1x1 hour seminar per module, per week. In first and second year this comes to 12 hours of contact time per week (6 modules) and in third year it comes to 8 hours per week of contact time (4 modules as you do a dissertation that is worth 2 modules)
