Eh, I never use an iron anyway, except on my hair XD

So you walk around with creased clothes  ??? Or does your mummy do it for you? :p:

I haven't got a toaster yet, but I don't think I'm gonna bother as there might be like 4 toasters when sharing or something ridiculous. I'll just buy one in London if I need one. I haven't got a kettle either, I don't drink tea sooooo...

Weeeeeeellll, you don't iron jeans, or any sort of hoody zippy things or any jacket at all to be frank

And you can't tell whether tshirts have been ironed or not

I hope you're not implying I'm a mummys boy :s-smilie:

Ive just been offered schafer single today. Havent decided if i'll take it - I live in london anyway.

Ive heard before that i could stay there until december time, and if i dont wanna continue, i can just move out, and not pay for the rest of the year. On the letter though, its says "The accommodation is offered to you for the period from Saturday 22 September 2007 to Saturday 7 July 2008, or for such period as may be remaining. This offer is not transferable and constitutes a "licence to occupy"".

Does this mean i would have to pay for the whole year or not? I just dont know if it'l be worth all that expense when i can get to UCL from home in about 45 mins.
Nah you won't have to pay loads of people i know moved out before easter break since they only needed to come down for exams and they got £800 back in cash they'd already paid as rent. Also if you don't like schafer house after a term it is relatively easy to up sticks a move to another halls which is catered or cheaper or more sociable whichever it is you're lacking. Tougher to do before because lots of halls have americans on a 1 term basis for the first term and so after they leave they are free spaces

I just got confirmation today over my room in Schafer and I have to pay them £1,600+ for the first term!!!! Do we get our student loans in 3 equal installments? If so I'm pretty annoyed..... I will have to use my savings to cover my first 2 term's rent and I will have a big surplus in my last term....

No the student loan for the first two terms is equal but you get extra for the last term....so you can have money over the summer. if you look on the student loan website it will tell you how and when you get your student loan. (It doesn't work sometimes though)

That sucks! I'm gonna have to call home for money halfway through the term now, I really didn't wanna have to do that

Are we going to get a big gathering at Schafer house? Oh yeah, and should we get like a meet up place at our accomodation because I don't know my way around London!
