A-level Biology revision tips?

Hi everyone, I'm doing OCR biology A2 this year but is struggling to figure out how to revise. If I revise straight from the CGP revision guide and do past papers can I get an A or should I still write notes? I feel like the revision guide is already in note form tbh. Which books should I revise from? Is the CGP revision guide sufficient or do i need other books? The new spec is making me really apprehensive about these exams.:s-smilie:
