Buying a student bus pass

I want to buy a travel card this coming Friday, but I'm unsure of what I need to take to prove that I'm a student. I've only received my UCAS letter with the slip to send off to my chosen University, but haven't had anything back from that. Would the part of the UCAS letter I still have be enough? :smile:

To buy my bus pass I think I need my student number from my uni. Could you call the travel company and ask what proof is needed?

i know student bus passes in Edinburgh can't be got until after uni has started - ie after enrolment when you get your student card.

I called and they said I needed something on headed paper saying I have a place. They said my UCAS letter would be fine.
