Personal Study AS/A2

I'm starting to do my personal study, although I can't seem to pick a topic to do it on. I cannot think of anything that I would like to do, and it's proving hard to try and decide. Has anyone had a similar mental block? I usually go for WW2-era stuff, or napoleonic e.t.c - anyone know of any interesting historical events and stuff?
napoleonic times....you could possibly look at Italian Unification 1848-1870? I did it for AS document paper and although it wasnt my cup of tea theres alot to say about it, lots of key individuals, events etc. Quite alot of room for debate too.

True, sounds different. I just need to do some work to appease my teacher, so I may do the rise of Hitler and find a question. It's just difficult having to use iniative when you don't have an ounce of it :rolleyes:
