Sit in your room and hope for the best? You could always walk around and just socialise

Yeah of course I'll do that, but I am a big F1 fan and I wanted to watch the Grand Prix at midday. i use the Internet to post on forums at the same time :frown:

Quite frankly my plan has gone out the window. I cant watch tv because licence is not expected to come until the end of Freshers' Week, and I can't even go online until Monday or Tuesday. FFS. What else is there to do?

You have a month's period in which to buy a TV licence after moving into a new premises, you cannot be penalized in this period.l If you have sent off the form youre fine!

Thanks.

I am paying by monthly direct debit, and I sent off online. I have no email receipt yet, and the first instalment has not been taken out of my bank account.

Is this because my bank has not yet accepted the direct debit mandate? In which case, is the "10 working days" from the moment I applied, or the moment my bank accepts the direct debit?

Did you list your home address or term time address?
Meh, no TV for me. I can't afford the licence, and I don't really watch many TV programmes.

It's gonna be a geeky Sunday for me -

move in,

tearful goodbye to family (LOLz),

meet and greet neighbours (whilst mentally making notes of names, faces and personality traits),

find a buddy or two to walk to the shops with,

walk around campus for a while,

go back to room and annoy everyone with my music on my laptop  ,

check out the evening's events and eat,

aaaand then bed.

^_^

I finished the essay ages ago...the case is SO long...I have read 3/4 of it, but I can't seem to focus on the rest. Might need to read it again. :frown:
