It usually comes on towards the end of September. So I would guess at the next two weeks sometime.

I swear PQ said something about it not coming out this year because of some disagreement over who owsns the data for the tables...

pq knows everything. she even knows god.

Its not a really good guide, so its not exactly something to look forward - comparing it to past years and most recent.

Times/GuG are the most accurate imo.

Not to mention Chuck Norris...:p:

I think PQ was referring to that other Times university guide, though (the one which ended up being published online, but not in print).

chuck norris is synonymous with god, so no real difference :p:
Chuck Norris Roundhouse kicked God and took control of heaven.

(I feel a warning coming on...)
We've had confirmation from the Sunday Times that their university guide will be published mid-to-end of September.

There are no major changes to methodology. The only ones being to the weighting for teaching quality and student satisfaction - TQA scores are likely to be down from 100 to 75 points and student satisfaction from 150 to 175. The teaching quality scores will not include anything from pre-1996. The weighting for heads/peer assessment has not been decided yet.

The Sunday Times will use 05/06 HESA data for all relevant categories and data from this years NSS will be included. It will also include a number of specialist HEIs for the first time this year.

The NSS data only came out on Monday so unless they're super speedy at analysing it and adding it into their table I doubt it'll be in this Sunday's paper...but who knows :ninja:
Maybe Chuck Norris should create the university league tables :p:
Giving most points to the uni with the best martial arts society. :toofunny:
i want chuck norris to be my vice chancellor.

the opinion of headteachers regarding university quality is the worst thing that could possibly be included. where ever their own kids go will be top of the list

The Sunday Times Guide is pretty good; the rankings are sensible and there's lots of useful info in the uni profiles that you don't get in the other guides. The worst guide by far is the Guardian's, as it uses so-called 'value added' measures which are nonsensical when applied to post-compulsory education.
