Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13Except that you are just parroting the opinions of a professor you heard! Oh, the multiple ironies(Original post by Parakeet)
Well the professor who said as much was speaking about the intellectual climate. But we all have our own opinions :P

Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13Pardon? I have no first hand experience of University College Oxford, and so must rely on the views of others. If we cease to use others' opinions to make decisions then TSR may as well shut down(Original post by threeportdrift)

Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13
hi guys,
does anybody know if oxford accepts a line of credit as proof of available funding? i got a place at st cross and i m trying to sort out the funding. my aunt's line of credit plus a career development loan are my only options...
also does anyone have a template letter of what should be included in the letter from a sponsor or a letter from a bank manager confirming available funds? i d really appreciate if someone could send one to me to [email removed] since my aunt will be acting as my sponsor but since she s in canada i d like to get all the paperwork right the first time because otherwise sending everything a couple of times is going to take ages....Last edited by hobnob; 02-07-2012 at 16:39. Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13I don't know anything about whether Oxford will accept a line of credit, but I'll send you a message with the letter I sent from my bank manager. These aren't based on anything we got from Oxford, we just made them up and hoped for the best. My college accepted them without question, so they should be ok as a template (but if it's really going to be an issue, it might be an idea to check with your college).(Original post by pocahontas5)

Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13Which English MSt will you be doing?(Original post by ColinClout)
A fairly worrying indictment of my summer how excited I was to receive an e-mail from the English department telling me that my reading list will be sent in early August. I can't wait to start, just need to rack up a couple more months of minimum wage pay.. -
Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13I'm also interested in the leter for the bank...(Original post by Dubie)

Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13If you PM me your email address, I'll send my letters to you. Obviously they come with a disclaimer that I have no real idea what I'm doing either, but they worked for my college. I don't think they expect anything fancy or terribly complicated - they just want someone to formally say they take responsibility for financially supporting you.(Original post by sll1)

Re: Oxford Graduate Application 2012/13
Has anybody got a confirmed college accommodation offer yet?
Also, is anybody here in the 1660 - 1830 strand? (I got an email a few days back saying we get out reading lists in August ... I concur with what someone else posted on this thread - a few more months of clocking up minimum wage hours!) I have finally received my required classification, and am now actually looking forward to starting the new academic year!Last edited by Student 01; 04-07-2012 at 01:43. -
