http://uiwdbsci01.ad.nottingham.ac.uk:8004/program.htm is the main timetable
http://uiwdbsci01.ad.nottingham.ac.uk:8004/module.htm for whatever option module you're doing. It says what weeks each module runs for in the top right corner

I saw that timetable too and I didn't understand a thing in it, all I know is that I have to be sobered-up n stuff on 14.45 tuesday
I still hope to get a personalized timetable, because the one on timetabling office site has like 3 lectures on the same subject a day..

looks like just 1 lecture (although it's 2 hours long and finishes at 6) - I think it's just one tutorial out of the 8 that are shown there. I did spend quite some time at work over the summer making a nice timetable i could understand in excel, but i'm ****ed if i know where I saved it...

haha 0 if I remember- there is a lot more than one MCS lecture a week, and as for being worried about having 9am lectures - in my second year. I had 9am lectures on mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays, thursdays and fridays. Yes, thats right, EVERY ****ING DAY
Well the group project ones didn't run most weeks. But 4/5 is still harsh :frown:

Ok I may sound daft asking this, but how do you pick the option modules and what is there to pick? :s-smilie:

you'll be given a list of optional modules when you register at the school - then just look on the online module catalogue to see which ones you fancy. I think you only get to pick 4 optional modules as a fresher

It was 2 last year - 1 a semester.

my bad

you do computer science alex? second or third year?
Reply 14
going into second... I had a bit of a mare with physics in my second year of that - keys to the bar and unrestricted free alcohol didn't really help, so I never did any work and missed most of my lectures and completely ****ed up my january exams, so then in about april/may I decided to change to computer science and when all my physics mates were having exams I was at alton towers

oh yes, I vaguely remember you saying during one of our conversations - well (free plug) i have some second year textbooks if you're interested. You are also welcome to all of my second year notes as I plan to burn them all anyway. ha ha best of luck with second year mate (you'll need it :P )
Why are there so many 'Drop in Advice Sessions' ? Do I have to attend all or them or just one? And how do we attend our lectures if we gotta go to all these sessions etc :s-smilie: I am so confused :frown:
Reply 18
well the drop in advice sessions are onlyoptional - you only go to them if you need advice on something
