All these "what's the best uni for blah blah" ...just check the Times website for the league tables.

Who? The Times and the Guardian? They are the ones that compile the subject league tables using all sorts of criteria, so I guess they are more authoritative than any other source. Whether you like it or not! 
What criteria? RAEs from 2001? TQAs which haven't changed for yonks? The wonderful "value added scores"?
