The lineup:
http://www.meanfiddler.com/displayPa...D=370&URLID=31
so this is my 3rd succesive year at Reading Festival, camping the entire weekend again and hopefuly will do the same as last year and go up on wednesday
The lineup isn't as good as the previous years imo, and in fact i'd probably say V has a stronger lineup. But it's not all about the music, it's the drinking! and obviously the general atmosphere is awesome
I have my baggy jeans, my skater shoes that are falling appart and i have about 4 band t-shirts which is all i need seing as im going away to Greece the day after! and how could i forget the importence of bringing bare alcohol innit!
We should be fine when it comes to food, with pizza Hut and Maccy D's only a short walk away, and Tescos Down the road if we need it
anyway the bands im looking forward to:
Ash
offspring
Jurassic 5
Goldie lookin Chain
Franz ferdinand(although that new song is awful)
libertines(heard they are good live, they better not dissapoint
) wonder if Pete Doherty will appear?
new Found Glory
The Streets
greenday
Dropkick Murphys
placebo
Funeral for a friend
The Ordinary Boys
Goldinger
A
Supergrass
Flogging Molly
Think i've named enough bands there, oh yeah Dirty Sanchez should be funny again, they were good last year....
so who else is going to Reading/Leeds and what bands you wanna see? -
I've heard rumors that he's going to invade the stage...very much doubt it will happen. They are great live though, if a little shambollic, which just adds to their charm, although I dunno how well they would work at a festival...especially without Pete...(Original post by serious narb)

It's possible to go without drinking you know... it's actually funnier, as you can just take in how monumentally stupid people's actions are. Then you get the word "Barry" painted on your forehead and realise that you don't escape.
Anyway, I'm going for
Jurassic 5
Reel Big Fish
Taking Back Sunday
Morrissey
The Roots
Thursday
Placebo
Dropkick Murphys
New Found Glory
SOULWAX
The Wildhearts
Modest Mouse
MC5
Har Mar Superstar
The Icarus Line
The Bronx
The Shins
Pretty Girls Make Graves
TV On The Radio
2 Many DJs
!!!
Patton/Rahzel
A
Dillinger Escape Plan
Coheed And Cambria
Avenged Sevenfold
and
Flogging Molly
The lineup suits me pretty well, to be honest. Headliners weaker than usual but it's made up for by the consistency. -
Umm...50 Cent? Apparently, though, he's the grumpiest person ever if he gets bottled, and if he gets bottled at Leeds he might refuse to even play Reading...(Original post by serious narb)
anyone reckon The Rasmus will be bottled, got a feeling they will get some Good Charlotte style treatment.
Personaly i think the only band that deserves bottling is The Darkness
