How much notice do I need to give for a part time job?

Depends on how long you have worked there, and if notice periods are mentioned in your contract. If not it's one week for every year you have worked there :smile:

Just to be clear, I think that's the custom, not the law. By law, I suspect if notice is not mentioned in your contract then it is not required. But basically, if your employer has treated you well then you should treat them well, and give them whatever notice you think they'll need to be able to cope without you (which I believe is the thinking behind the one week per year thing).
