Is it retail jobs that you have applied for?

If so they'll mostly ask you questions about customer service- what is good customer service, how would you ensure you gave good customer service, give an example of a time when you have gone out of your way to help someone etc

They might also ask questions about why you want the job, what qualities would you bring to the role, give an example of a time when you worked under pressure or worked as a team, that sort of thing

It depends on the place, really.

Two questions which employers are very keen to ask is "Give an example of a problem you've had and how you solved it" and also "Give an example of when you've worked in a team and what you accomplished." Make sure you have answers to these two questions.

Apart from trying to second guess the employers, there is little you can do. Make sure you have a list of positive experiences and character traits you can mention, and do a little bit of research about the place (basically enough so you can answer 'why do you want to work here').

In terms of general advice, sit still and keep your hands below the desk. Keep eye contact with your interviewer, or, if there is more than one, flick between them but start and end with the person who asked you the question. Beyond that, it's just common sense!

Good luck!
