I feel like in terms of alumni, faculty awards and entry requirements in general, that Cambridge is better. They also seem to have less of a rich kid culture, and more basis on academic attainment.

Oxford seems like it's closer to Imperial than Cambridge, IMO. I'd make the case that getting an offer is more difficult at Oxford, but meeting it is more difficult at Imperial (they have a few A*A*A* standard offers for courses now).

Which one are you studying at or been accepted by?

If anything, that would mean it's the other way around?

Yeah it should be Oxford is the dumb man's Cambridge
These questions are really ridiculous.

They're both at the absolute top of universities worldwide and the difference between them is really marginal (other than location-wise and a few small things in terms of how they conduct admissions).

Not necessarily, Cambridge has a moderately higher UCAS tarrif and a good less proportion of privately educated students.

Metaphorical use, not literal

Most hypotheticals are, but that often turns out an interesting debate.

Their Admissions are fairly different, I wouldn't say they're similar.

There are worse things. I may well be following my Cambridge MSt with an Oxford DPhil.

As painful as it would be to leave Cambridge, there is no question that a gentle downward mobility is one of the most obvious symptoms of good breeding.

Shan hasn't had the opportunity to discuss how good Goldsmiths is because there aren't any comparison questions like these!

Nope. Though if you're trying to insinuate inferiority, UCL med is harder to get into than most courses at Oxbridge.

Really? I thought medicine was easy to get into. Just joking it is good you got an offer by a top uni. Only don't criticise unis you did not apply to.
