Mitosis

I am at uni and basically we were going over mitosis and I am some what confused. I only knew the stages, interphase, prophase, methaphase, anaphase and telophase. However there is reference to cytokinesis and also prophase 1, methaphase 1 and pro methaphase etc. Could someone help.

I've only studied it at AS so far (so sorry if this is a bit rudimentary!) - but cytokinesis is the splitting of the cytoplasm and cell membrane (so basically what happens *right* at the end, to create two separate cells).

But AFAIK mitosis doesn't include prophase I, metaphase II etc.. that's in meiosis.
