Physics Coursework

so my year 12 physics coursework involves measuring velocities of a ball bearing from different displacements to get to acceleration due to gravity using a graph. all good.

but our teacher also made us write down the mass and diameter of the ball. ive worked out mass which is so we can add F=ma into the coursework or sumthing but i think diameter must have something to do with air resistance or sumthing. does anyone have any ideas why he wud make us write down the diameter and anybody no simple ways to work out air resistance if it is using the diameter.

thanks for help

look up Stoke's law
Dragging up the oldest thread ever, just didn't want to make a whole new thread.

Got Stokes Law, fine. To work out Drag force though it was suggested we use W-U=F
Any ideas as to what exactly the formulas are for W and U?
