ukcat help!

Hi i have some problems with the ukcat test.

Firstly, In the Verbal reasoning section of the ukcat, do you answer the questions from your knowledge, or from what the text tells you?
For example, If the question says
"Are digital signals better quality than analogue signals?"
I know that the answer is yes, they are, but if the the text dosnt mention this fact should you answer "cant tell"?

Secondly, In the Abstract reasoning section i can hardly see any pattern in the shapes at all!
I know you should look at the number of sides, etc.. But when you get shapes like a wavy line or a cross this is hard to do. What thing should you be looking for in this section of the test and whats the best way to go about solving these problems?

Thanks,
Marcus

In VR, you only follow what the text tells you, not ur only knowledge.

In AR, its quite diffcult to describe the general rules to see the pattern of the shapes and in most of the questions, shapes within set A and set B both have their own simliarity or follow the same pattern. I recommand the ukcat book, you can get it on amazon. sometimes you just have to get a "feel" about it, really,
isn't ukcat exams over?

ps. sorry for not answering the q...
