Well, I'm doing it at GCSE...

To be honest, it is the easiest subject I'm doing. Although I do enjoy it, so that probably makes it easier for me! It's not to everyone's taste.

Personally, I wouldn't do it at A-Level. It's certainly not a 'mickey mouse' subject... but it's not particularly well respected.

It seems weird that the school don't offer it though...

i wish i hadnt done it at AS and carried it onto A2, i personally think its the worse subject ever, and im only carrying it on this year because i got full ums in my AS exams with very little revision. basically so i can get into the uni i want to, if id have carried on the subject i dropped, i would have been struggling to do that. so i suppose its good in one respect..that its pretty easy for me....

    No.

    Taadaa! My contribution.

However, although my previous post was not a contribution to the topic, it was certainly a contribution to stating how hypocritical your post was.

I love sociology, it has opened my eyes to alot of things that are going on in the world and i find it extremely interesting. In no way could it be considered a mickey mouse subject though with the amount of knowledge you have to learn and its not simple yes or no answers you have to be analytical and the questions could be about anything and you have to use your knowledge of theories to answer and come up with a decent conclusion.

Ummm... I really don't want to seem like the bad one here but yes it is a Mickey Mouse.... There is a reason other sciences are considered more valued! Don't take it, take another subject such as History or Biology and then do it at uni if you really want to.
