Can Expression/anyone else who's in Sheff help?
I picked up a couple of timetables today, but not really knowing areas in Sheffield I got a little bit confused.
Can u give me the bus/tram number and fares for these journies please?

Main uni area to train station (and vice versa)
Main uni area to Meadow Hall (and vice versa)

And whereabouts in the main uni area is the bus/tram stops?

    Thanks !

I don't get buses in Sheffield so Expression will have to enlighten you there, but the trams are rather ace!

To get to the train station get the blue route tram heading to Halfway, while to get to Meadowhall get the yellow route to, appropriately enough, Meadhowhall Interchange. To return get the same colour trams heading to Malin Bridge and Middlewood respectively.

It's less than a pound to the tram station, a bit more I think to Meadowhall.

The trams'll take you down onto West Street around which the main bar areas are. Trams don't go much near any of the areas students at Uni live though. Most of the main areas are close enough that you can walk pretty much anywhere you'll need to go.

Central Campus to the Train Station:

Blue Route Tram Service from University of Sheffield Tram stop, destined for HALFWAY.

    Stops along the way are:

    University
    West Street
    City Hall
    Cathedral
    Castle Square
    Fitzalan Sq/Ponds Forge
    Sheffield Station/Sheffield Hallam University

If you catch a yellow route tram, destined for Meadowhall, jump off at Cathedral, Castle Square or Fitzalen Square/Ponds Forge and change onto a Halfway tram.

Single tickets from University to the Train Station by Tram cost 70p.

On the return you want a tram from the train station, blue route, bound for MALIN BRIDGE.

In terms of buses, you'd want to catch a 60 bus, from the back of Bar One and on West Street, which will take you down to Transport Interchange. (Destination: Interchange)

Buses 51 (Destination: Charnock) and 52 (Destination: Woodhouse), pass through the City centre, where you can get off.

Returning: 60 destination Fulwood Crimicar Lane from outside the Station front, 51 (Destination: Lodge Moor) and 52 (Destination: Crookes), both in the city near Fargate MacDonalds.

    To Meadowhall:

    Tram:

YELLOW ROUTE TRAM from UNIVERSITY to MEADOWHALL INTERCHANGE

    University
    West St.
    City Hall
    Cathedral
    Castle Sq.
    Ponds Forge
    Hyde Park
    Cricket Inn Rd.
    Nunnery Sq P & R
    Woodbourne Rd.
    Attercliffe Tech. Pk.
    Arena/Don Valley
    Valley Centertainment P & R
    Carbrook (for Meadowhall Retail Park)
    Tinsley / Meadowhall South
Meadowhall Interchange (for Meadowhall Train Station and Meadowhall Shopping Centre)

Returning on a Yellow Route Tram bound for Middlewood Interchange.

    Price: £2.40 DayRider

    Buses to Meadowhall:

    From Sheffield Interchange
    A1, 1, 2, 702, 8, X78, 85, 86, 130, 287 (Ran by First).

    747 (Stagecoach East Midlands).

Though far easier, and quicker to jump on a tram from Uni, or the City section.
