Newspaper rankings.

Hey all,

Just wondering how reliable the newspaper university rankings are from the times and guardian. They seem quite similar in terms of order of top universities. what do you people think? do you think there could be bias?

I doubt that there is bias, and they are quite good things to reference every so often, but you really shouldn't base your choice solely on them, take into account precisely what you want.

The reason they're similar is because they base their rankings on similar sets of data (with only slightly differing weightings and choices of what to take into account to set them apart).
