your even lucky that your taugth M2 and M3, I want to do physics at uni andthe 12 modules we do are C1-4,s1,s2,m1,fp1,fp3. I had to learn d1 myself last year and this year i have to do m2 and m3/d2 myself

Mine's OCR - MEI too.
I didn't even know you could do FP4 without FP3.
I thought it was a chain thing?
S2 is way better than S1 [AQA]!
I'm on AQA. For A-level Maths we did C1, C2, C3, C4, D1 and S1. For A-level Further Maths we're doing FP1, FP2, FP3, S2, S3, M1, apparently...

I'm on AQA as well. Last year I did C1, C2 and S1. This year I'm doing C3, C4, FP1, FP2, D1, D2, M1, M2, M3. Like the OP my school insists on doing both D1 and D2 :frown:.
hmmm Edexcel for me :rolleyes:

Last Year..Normal Maths...
C1 C2 C3 C4 M1 S1

This year...further maths!
FP1 FP2 FP3 M2 S2 D1.....I hate D1 >_<

If you really don't want to do the decision, why don't you teach yourself the other modules you want to do, and ask your school to enter you for them.

We pretty much get to choose what we like... Maths was C1-4 S1 & M1
Further maths for me is FP1 & 3 + S2/3/4 + M2
I get to choose all my further maths modules:smile:

done in the summer exams
Edex(a2 maths)
C1 2 3 4 S1 and M1

am doing/done
MEI(a2 fmaths)
S2 M2 D1 FP1 FP2 NM (maybe M3/FP3)
Last year I did:
C1 C2 S1 D1 M1 FP1
This year I am doing:
C3 C4 S2 D2 FP2 FP3 FP4
(AQA)

We had the option of doing either M2D2, S2D2 or M2M4 for 2nd year.
We do 13 modules so we can take the best 12..
I chose D2 because it would provide me with easy marks (and that i hated machanics so much)

We get no choice. Everyone seems to hate Decision; personally I think its easy, and quite interesting too... but then again I much prefer applied maths :smile:

We do
C1 C2 S1 for AS maths
C3 C4 D1 for A2 maths
M1 S2 FP1 for AS further maths
FP2 FP3 S4 for A2 further maths

It hadn't occured to me that I might need more mechanics modules. But I'm quite pleased to be doing lots of statistics :smile:

In my school people usually do:

AS-year: C1-4, M1, M2.
A2-year: FP1-3, S1, M3, M4.

I've taught myself ten A-level maths modules so far (got taught for two as well), so it's perfectly possible for you to teach the ones you want to do :smile: . If you need help there's always the maths help forum here on TSR :biggrin: ...
