Sick of mind mapping

Mindmapping or spider diagrams, were a frequent convention for my study notes as of last year but now looking through them I actually feel they are nauseating and cease to be conducive to my learning.

However I need new ideas, and prose is too mundane although I employ it sometimes. The problem is more than 20% of the year has already past thus it is very daunting to employ a new method.

Please help me innovate! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Has anyone else reached the stage where mind mapping is not suffice?:frown:
i never mind mapped. they're awful!! i tend to bullet point not in full sentences leaving lots of white spaces with key info in clear, concise lists in boxes and stuff.

colour is the key! it doesnt matter what style you write in: bullet points. continous prose, key cards...... but colour works well with it all.
I found using flash cards/record cards really helped my revision for media, sociology and english last year, although linear notes and lots of bullet points and highlighting was used for history. I hate mind-maps, and don't often use spider diagrams as part of revision.
