The Times rates KCL 32nd out of 59 universities that offer Mechanical Engineering. UCL is 20th. ICL is 3rd. Cambridge is 1st.

I think UCL pips it. My friend missed his offer for the said course and went to KCL instead (which he also missed the grades for).
