    Withdrawing from course/loan.
I received a payment schedule this morning saying I've been given a grant for £300 ish. But in the last week, I've decided to withdraw from my course, so I phoned the SLC to ask them to take it back out of my account. When speaking to the advisor he said I may be entitled to a portion of the grant as I've been at uni for over 6 weeks. How do they work out how much I'd be entitled to?

Also, I was told that I may not be charged the year's full tuition fee (£1225) and may only have to pay a portion of that - again, how do the university figure out how much I have to pay?

It varies from university to university AFAIK.
