Can I just ask to anyone who does English at KCL. I know it's Language and Literature, but does this mean that some modules are literary and some are language, or does it mean that aspects of language and literature are covered in each individual module?
Some modules are literary and some are language. The module descriptions are on the English department website.

Obviously all literature involves some close study of language (unless it's in translation, then not so much), but by language and literature, it means different modules really.

Everyone does 'Aspects of Language' in the first year which is fairly linguistic and technical but v. interesting. After that, you could in theory do no more language modules ever if you choose not to, but there are a nice range available if you do like that side of it.
